David Joel Hastings Sr., 67, passed away July 23, 2013 at USC Keck Hospital.
Born on November 26, 1945 in Ingelwood, CA to J E and Viola Mae Hastings. He was raised in South Bay, devoted husband, loving dad, proud grandpa, caring uncle, and loyal friend. 2 years in the navy on the USS Lawrence, worked 26 years at TRW, 15 years as a truck driver. He is survived by wife Peggy Hastings, daughter Cari Carter, son David and Regina Hastings Jr., 6 Grandchildren: Paige, Arielle, Siarra, Sharon, Zane and Noah, brother James and Shelly Hastings, sister Eddy Jo and Robert Laflin. Many that were loved as if they were their own children.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Brown Colonial Chapel, 204 W. 17th Street, Santa Ana 92706.
