Theodore Ryland Cross, PhD. 12/17/1921 - 4/10/2016
Ted grew up in Cedar Falls, Iowa, attending Iowa State Teachers College (now University of Northern Iowa) before entering the army, serving In World War II. After service, he took advantage of the G.I. Bill to get his masters and doctorate degrees in Psychology at the University of Minnesota. He was on staff at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, followed by Kansas State University. After leaving academia, he joined Rohrer, Hibler and Replogle (R H & R) in 1955, working as a management Psychologist in the Los Angeles and San Diego areas. He started his own business in 1972 and enjoyed working with many interesting clients. He retired in 1988, settled in Mission Viejo and enjoyed following Los Angeles and Orange County professional sports teams. He has had 94 happy years, the last 57 with his loving wife, Nancy. He is survived by Nancy, and children Jeffrey, Douglas (Jeannie), David, and Julie Riedel (Kurt), and grandchildren Jessica Cross, Quinn and Kelly Riedel, all who will miss him so much. Services will be private.
