Emilie Christie
Liberty Emilie Christie, 91, a lifelong resident of San Francisco, passed away with her daughter by her side, on January 16th, after a short, valiant and truly gracious battle with cancer. Emilie will be reunited with her beloved husband of 57 years Chris N. Christie. She leaves behind her children Nicholas (June) Christie, Elaine Christie and Stephen (Marlene) Christie; her grandchildren Rebekah (Jonathan) Vaughan, Alison, David, Nicole, Jonathan, Daniel and Benjamin Christie; her great-grandchildren Gabriel, Timothy, Christopher, James, Abigail and Elisabeth Vaughan; her brother Stanley Kritikakos and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. Emilie was predeceased by her parents James and Anastasia Kritikakos, and her sisters Penelope Bass and Evangeline Kritikakos.
Her lifelong mission was to care for her family. We were amazed at her energy and capabilities. Two short months ago she was still driving, shopping, and running up and down the stairs at home. Mom was truly an independent woman. We will be forever inspired by her.
We want to thank Mom's caregivers Adrienne, Mimi, Mary Margaret and Mary. While they were only there a short time, their love and care will always be remembered.
