Castillo, Dolly, age 72, passed away on August 3, 2011 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Born February 20, 1939, Dolly was born and raised in Chino, California. She attended Pomona Catholic High School having paid for her own tuition with funds she saved from her first job at Newberry's Department store. After graduating from PC in 1957 she went on to earn her Associate degree from Mt. SAC in 1959. Dolly had a dedicated career at Brockway Glass Company in Pomona from which she retired after thirty years of service. After her time with Brockway, Dolly's tireless spirit resulted in ten more years of service, this time for the Chino Valley Unified School District. In her spare time Dolly enjoyed reading about history and politics, but perhaps nothing was as enjoyable to her as embracing and caring for her family, especially her grandsons. Dolly is survived by her husband, Carlos (Charlie); her two sons, Carlos Jr. and Ronald; her three grandsons, Michel-Anthony, Nicholas, and Mario; and her three daughters-in-laws, Mariam, Sharon, and Kelly. A Rosary will be held at 9:30 A.M. and a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 12, 2011 at St. Margaret Mary Church, 12686 Central Ave, Chino.
