Josephine worked in the food service industry, but her most rewarding job was as a cafeteria assistant at Mount Gleason Junior High School in Tujunga. Josephine was a good athlete and her most memorable achievement was to be one of the first women to play in the men's softball league in the San Fernando Valley. To her immediate family, Josephine was a good wife and mother. Although she was generally a quite woman, she did have a good sense of humor and everyone would agree that she was the kindest of persons.
