Born August 25, 1963 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the daughter of Gordon G. Giles, Nancy R. Vandiver and stepdaughter of James G. Vandiver. Debbie joined Andy J. Burger in marriage September 4, 1993 and in the years to follow she became the very proud Mom to Delaney, Mitchell and Ethan. She graduated in 1993 with a Juris Doctor degree from Western State University and worked with Scripps Health as Corporate Counsel for the past ten years.Debbie was a beautiful, smart, witty, caring, passionate lady! She will forever be remembered for her bigger than life personality, generous heart, unyielding strength and dedication to her family and friends. She always strove to make sure her children had the opportunities to live life to the fullest and find their own passions in life. She had a focus on the importance of education and helped guide her children to achieve high honors and recognition inside and outside of school. Music always surrounded Debbie and she was so proud to see her son's musical talents blossom. She loved being in the mountains at her cabin in Big Bear Lake with family and friends. She was an incredible snow and water skier. Entertaining with family, friends, and especially her children's friends was a huge part of her life. Debbie was a "mother to many" very giving and supportive to all.She so enjoyed her work as an attorney and was happiest when she had the opportunity to research a case or participate in a lively debate.
