Shirley Louise (Allen) Brandl, 71, of Yorba Linda, California, and formerly of Kimberly, Idaho, passed away peacefully at home on the 10th of August, 2017. Born in Twin Falls, Idaho on July 18, 1946 to Orval and Fern Allen, Shirley grew up as the eldest of four and graduated from Kimberly High School in 1964. She attended business school in Utah where she met the love of her life, Peter Brandl. They married in 1966 and eventually settled in California in 1973. A devoted wife and mother, Shirley was also a caring friend to so many. She was an incredibly giving and loving person who touched and influenced many lives through her volunteer work, her 35-year career with Mary Kay Cosmetics, and everywhere in between. Shirley is survived by her husband of 50 years, Peter; her daughter, Heidi Brandl (Scott Ecker); her brother Richard (Sharon) Allen; her sisters, Linda (Joe) Weeks and Debbie (Ed) Poppleton; her grandsons, Jackson and Casey Ecker; and several nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Orval and Fern Allen, and her sons, Kurt Todd and Peter Eric Brandl. Services will be held at the McAulay & Wallace Mortuary at 902 N Harbor Blvd. in Fullerton, CA on Thursday, August 17th at 4:00pm. A Celebration of Life and burial will be planned for a later date in Twin Falls, ID. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
