Biggers, Preston
Born Dec. 26, 1916 in Stewart, Oklahoma. Preston joined his beloved wife Cleo Rose (d. 1992) on Nov. 20, 2013. Preston outlived his sisters Elsie, Myrtle and Bertha, and brother Walter. When Preston was 6 years old his father died, leaving a family of five. Preston migrated to California where he and Cleo raised their children: LuEllen Santos-Coy (Lawrence), Loretta Davi and David (Carole). They lived in Fresno County, then moved to Monterey County in 1958. They were avid participants in square dancing and Preston played mandolin in an Old Time music group. They moved to Sacramento in 1990 to be near their daughters and grandchildren. Preston continued to play his mandolin in a music group at Mobile Country Club and in jam sessions at the Grange. He spent his last days at Casa Coloma Health Care Center.

He leaves 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Nov. 26 at Lind Brothers Mortuary, 4221 Manzanita Ave., Carmichael. Funeral Mass on Nov. 27, 10:00 a.m., at St. John Vianney church at 10497 Coloma Rd. in Rancho Cordova. He will be buried near his beloved wife Cleo Rose at Mission Memorial Cemetery in Monterey, CA on Friday Nov. 29 at 1:00 pm, followed by a farewell ceremony.
