BANVILLE, Margaret Jacobs
Born in Watertown, South Dakota on September 18, 1927. Died peacefully at age 83 in Carmichael, CA after a 5 year battle with Alzheimer's disease. Preceded in death by parents, John F. and Marie W. Jacobs, and husband, Thomas G. Banville. Margie and Tom were married in 1948 and spent the next 57 years together in Carmichael. They raised two sons, Jack (Jennifer) Granite Bay and Tom (Cindy) Sacramento. Grandchildren Melissa and Erin complete the family. Margie taught elementary school after Jack and Tom started high school. She also typed and proofed manuscripts for husband Tom, a published author. Margie and Tom were adventurous travelers. Itineraries included Egypt, India, Russia, Europe and an endless list of other sites in addition to over 25 cruises. They forged many friendships along the way. Margie was a wonderful mother and devoted wife with an easy laugh and great sense of humor. She loved dogs, music and current affairs. The family would like to thank Vitas Hospice for its compassionate care during her final months. Visitation at Sierra View Funeral Chapel, 6201 Fair Oaks Blvd., Carmichael on Tuesday, September 6th at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, September 7th at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 5057 Cottage Way, Carmichael at 10:00 AM. Interment private.
