Robert Arthur Armstrong, born at the McClellan Air Force Base in North Highlands, Calif., May 4, 1957, went home to be with the Lord January 10, 2012.
Robert was a Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and friend. Robert is survived by daughter, Kelly and husband, Tim Fischer; son, Brett Armstrong; two granddaughters, Isabelle and Olivia Fischer, of Portland Oregon; mother and father, Mildred and Arthur Armstrong; sister, Linda Purvis, of Lincoln; brother, John Armstrong and wife, Beth, of Wichita Kansas; fiancée, Kate Shiele, of Berkeley California; nieces and nephews; and many friends in Lincoln as well as friends in other states.
Robert lived and went to school in Lincoln from the 3rd grade and graduated from Lincoln High School. He held a BS from Sac State in marketing and worked in the automobile industry all his adult life. Robert will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 1st and O St., January 28, 2012 at 2 p.m. light refreshments will follow.
