Tributes for

Linnert, Maude "Alice"

Linnert, Maude "Alice", graced this earth with her presence on March 28, 1927. Born in Conda, Idaho, she spent her early years in Great Falls, Montana and settled with her family in Orange in 1933. She met her husband, Ralph, of 64 years, in Orange; their families living only blocks apart. She entered Eternal Life, surrounded by her 7 children and husband, on August 19, 2013.

Alice graduated from Orange Union High School in 1945. She graduated from Immaculate Heart College School of Nursing in 1949. In addition she completed her residency at Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles and St. Joseph Hospital in Orange. She spent her entire life utilizing those skills with her seven children and their friends.

Alice celebrated life playing golf, bridge and the ponies. She was a member of the Holy Family Altar Society and Orange Rotary Anns. Alice volunteered in the THINK Together After School Program, Orange Historical Society, St. Joseph Hospital, East Orange Little League, Holy Family School, Mater Dei High School, Relay for Life, Stand Up To Cancer and the Ed Thaete Classic Golf Tournament. She was a regular attendee at sporting, school and extra-curricular events for her kids, grandkids and great grandkids, nieces, nephews and Godchildren and friends. She and Ralph met their high school classmates regularly at Watson's Drug Store for breakfast.

Alice is now in heaven with her mom and dad, Alice and Ross Bryant, and sister, Betty. She is survived by her husband, Ralph; her sister, Mary Bryant Layton; her six sons, Bob (and Sally), Jim (and Libby), Tom (and Connie), Jerry (and Megan), Chuck (and Lili), John (and Gianna); and daughter, Mary (and Paul Evers); 28 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, plus many Godchildren.

Rosary will be held at 7:00pm Friday and the Funeral Mass at 10:00am Saturday, both at Holy Family Cathedral in Orange. Internment will follow the funeral at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Orange.
