Al was born in Lower Lake and lived with his brother Pete in San Francisco in the 1940's. He was a welder and later a brick layer and Terrazzo step maker/installer. His parents, John Traverso and Rosa Perasso, were Italian immigrants.
He is survived by his daughter Donna Fabbri, son Al Traverso(Cindy), grandchildren Tim (Carrie), Lisa, Mike(Liz), Melissa and Mark and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will begin at 5 p.m. and a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, January 18th at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. The Committal will be held privately at the family' request.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice, Parkinson's or Alzheimer's Foundation of your choice.
