Tributes for

Adolph, Lisbeth

Adolph, Lisbeth Marie a resident of the Sacramento area, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016, following a series of strokes. She was born on September 24, 1949 in Copenhagen, Denmark to Eliane Manset and Jorgen Adolph. The family, including Lisbeth's two sisters, Lilliane and Michelle moved to Santa Barbara in 1965. Lisbeth attended Bishop Garcia Diego and graduated from UC Berkeley with a Masters. She married Michael Betts in 1981 and they moved to Sunnyvale near Palo Alto, where Lisbeth worked as a commercial banker. They moved back to Santa Barbara and were subsequently divorced. Lisbeth ultimately remarried and with her new husband, Clay Nelson, settled in Sacramento, following the death of her Mother, Eliane Adolph. They divorced a few years later and Lisbeth continued to live in Sacramento until her death. Lisbeth was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Lilliane Felix of Grass Valley. Lisbeth was fluent in French and Danish and traveled extensively in Europe, including many trips to see relatives and friends in Denmark. She was very proud of the family's Danish heritage and was active in Scandinavian social clubs in Santa Barbara for a number of years. She loved dogs, especially Woody and Rocky and later Rosie and Zorro. She was also a doting aunt to her two nieces, Mindy Felix and Katrina Claussen, always wanting many pictures at every family gathering. She is survived by her sister, Michelle Claussen and her two nieces Mindy and Katrina, relatives in Denmark and many Manset family cousins and relatives in the Santa Barbara area. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 22 at 1:00pm at Russ Monroe's Funeral Home (7960 Winding Way, Fair Oaks).
