Dillard, Robert Earl
June 19, 1920 - February 15, 2015
Beloved father, grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully 2/15/15 at age 94. Our dad was born in Kenton, OK and grew up in the Santa Ynez Valley, near Solvang, CA. He was in the Army Corps of Engineers from 1942-45 as a Tech Sgt. 4 and helped build The Persian Corridor between The Persian Gulf and Russia during WWII. Long time resident of La Habra and was Maintenance Foreman at Pacific Clay Products in Santa Fe Springs, CA for 27 years. Predeceased by our mother, Eleanor whom he was married to for 58 wonderful years, and two sisters, Essie Sanchez and Geneva Foster. Survived by his three loving children, Linda Smith (Patrick), Dave (Sue) and Dale (Tami); grandchildren, Josh Farris and Kyle Farris-Achord and Erin, Lauren and Caity Dillard; and sister, Nadine Hansen. Dad loved nothing more than being with his family and will forever be with us.
