Maria de la Paz Zavaleta passed away on January 12, 2013 in Sacramento at the age of 89. She has resided in the Sacramento area for the past 50 years and is survived by children, George Alferez (Delia), Gloria Gutierrez, Irene Vasquez, Oscar Alferez, Lorenzo Alferez (Maria), Alicia Martinez (Ray), and Ricardo Zavaleta; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren as well as many family and friends whom she loved so dearly. Family and friends are welcome to attend the vigil service on Thursday January 17th at 6pm and funeral services on Friday, January 18th at 10am, both at North Sacramento Funeral Home 725 El Camino Ave Sacramento, CA 95815 with interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetary 6700 21st Avenue.
