Abbott, Sharon Dell, born November 21, 1943 in Santa Barbara, California, passed away December 10, 2012 at her home of 54 years in Orange, California. Sharon was 69 years old. She died from complications of heart disease and diabetes. Sharon was predeceased by her father and mother, William Henry Abbott and Ebba Bernice Abbott. She is survived by her sister, Sylvia Richardson of Irvine California and Sylvia's children, Sharon's nephews, Bruce Richardson (Kelly) and Scott Richardson (Nancy). She is also survived by her brother, Scott Abbott (Mary) of Yorba Linda, California and his children, Sharon's nieces and nephews, Robin (Scott) Diestel, Donald (Dawn) Abbott and Christopher (Michele) Abbott and grandchildren, Sharon's great nieces and nephews, Dana Abbott, Kendra Abbott, Cameron Abbott, Brandon Abbott, Colin Abbott and Savannah Abbott.

Sharon retired after thirty-eight years of service to Farmer's Insurance to care for her mother in their home in Orange, California. Sharon enjoyed traveling with her family and friends in particular her dear and long-time friend and associate, Lise Eeg. She enjoyed faraway destinations that included Australia as well as many parts of Europe and the United States. She was an enthusiastic bowler and enjoyed competing with her nieces and nephews. She was a kid at heart and her favorite holiday was Christmas because she had the opportunity to play with the toys and her nieces and nephews! Additionally, she was an avid gardener and there was always something delicious growing in her garden.
