On December 7, 2012 Francine "Fran" Pala (Sommers), of Yorba, age 53, left this earth for her blessed journey to heaven. Fran was the beloved Vice Chairwoman of the Juaneno Band of Mission Indians. She dedicated her life to helping others, fighting for Native American Rights and opening her heart and home to everyone. Fran was a staple in the San Juan Capistrano community and her effervescent glow and tender spirit will be missed.

Fran is survived by her children, Erin, Lanetta, Sherrie, Angela and Andrew; Fiancé, David Hutchins; siblings, Rusho, Larry, LeeLee, Judo, Vicki and Gerrie; and her grandchildren, Chedo, Kennedy and Temet.
