Peabody, Verne Daniel (Pete), 81, long time resident of Orange County, passed away on November 10, 2012. Born in Boston and a lifetime Celtic and Red Sox fan, he retired from the USMC as a Master Sergeant and went on to a career in aerospace at TRW. He is survived by his wife, Dolores; his brother, Kevin; his children, Terry (Jane), Timothy (Nadine), Thomas (Therese) and Tricia (Jason) Hopland; and grandchildren, Colleen, Tom, Tim, Kelly, Michael, Nick, John, Matt, Mike, Laney, Luke, Bailey and Kinsley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 12:10PM, Holy Family Cathedral. Following mass, military honors will be rendered at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Orange. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Mater Dei High School in memory of Verne Peabody.
