Owens, Dolores Jean "Tip" was born November 18, 1942 in Beaumont, Texas to Netta Mae and Lester Owens. She went home to Glory on April 14, 2012, in Sacramento, California. Dolores was a resident of Sacramento for 62 years. She worked for Pacific Telephone Company, the State of California and retired from the Santa Clara Valley Water District. She is the Mother of Victoria, Calvin Jefferson, Jr. and Conrad Bolds. Dolores was the fourth of 11 children. She is survived by six siblings; Lesley, Evelyn, Mona, Nelson, Jacquelyn and Shirelle "LeRae" Owens. Three siblings preceded her in death, Hyman and Carolyn Wycoff, Barbara, and Wesley Owens. Dolores leaves 5 grandchildren; Calvin Jefferson, III, Cristin Jefferson, Robert Finch, Veronica, and Vanessa Bolds. She also leaves 3 great grandchildren; Stormee, Jayden and Arckani. Dolores leaves a host of cousins in Texas, Louisiana, and California. She leaves a multitude of loving friends throughout the United States. Homegoing services at Destiny Church 5230 Erhardt Ave. Sacramento 95823 on April 20, 2012 at 11:00am. Internment at Quiet Haven Memorial Park. Repast will follow at Oak Park Community Center in the Multi-Purpose room.
