Lucy Christ (Lenore to most of her friends) passed away peacefully in her home, Saturday morning, March 31st, 2012 at the age of 85. Fred Christ, her husband of over 60 years, was at her side. She was born in Bemidji, MN, on February 2nd, 1927 to Glen Samuel and Lucy “Peg” Dunigan Harding. In 1938 the Hardings moved from Crookston, MN to Santa Ana, CA and joined Saint Anne Catholic Church. She graduated from Santa Ana High School in the class of 1944 and went on to earn her Sociology Degree at UCLA in 1948. Fred and Lenore were married on August 12th, 1951 at St. Anne Church. The couple lived in the studio apartments above United Automotive in Santa Ana while building their lifetime home in what would be North Tustin. She was president and longtime member of the Ebell Society of the Santa Ana Valley, very active in the Santa Ana Assistance League and a St. Joseph Hospital volunteer. She became a charter member of St. Cecilia Church, Tustin, and later worked as the parish office manager for over 20 years at Holy Family in Orange. She is survived by her husband Fred; children John and his wife Louise; Jane and her husband Terry Peabody; and Margie, also her sisters Mary Harding Sexton and Ann Harding King. Her grandchildren are Kevin, Karen, and Danny Christ, of Peachtree City, GA, and Colleen, Tom, Mike, and John Peabody, of Flossmoor, IL. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:10PM, Weds., April 4th at Holy Family Catholic Church, Orange, CA.
