Zhitomirskiy, Ilya, 22, one of the four New York University students that founded the social networking site Diaspora, has died in San Francisco, CA.
Diaspora was created to give users control over their personal data in a way not allowed by other social networking sites.
The circumstances surrounding his death have not yet been revealed by the San Francisco Medical Examiner's office.
