Wilson, Winifred G., age 84, of Elk Grove, California, died August 12, 2011, at Kaiser Permanente surrounded by family and friends after a brave fight with cancer. She was born December 20, 1926, in Santa Rosa, California, the daughter of late Hazel and Leo Brown. She was the third of 10 siblings. She was lovingly married to Kenneth P. Wilson for over 50 years, before he preceded her in death. A devoted mother and grandmother, she was a full time California state employee until the birth of her son, she was asked to return after he went into school. She did volunteer work at her son's and grandchildren's schools and generously donated money whenever she could to numerous charities around the world. She is survived by her son, Thomas A. Wilson of Elk Grove, CA; grandchildren, Rebecca and Kenneth Wilson of Elk Grove, CA; brother Clair; sister Patricia; sister Barbara; sister Corrine, sister Sandra; and brother Leo; and numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; brother, Vern; sister Mildred; and sister Eleanor. A celebration of her life will be held at Brownie's Lounge, 5858 South Land Park Drive, Sacramento, Ca, 95822, on September 3, 2011 at 1 P.M. Her sense of humor and her laugh will be missed by everyone who had the joy of knowing her.
