Traver, Duane

Duane was born in Jamestown, New York to Cameron and Georgia (Burch) Traver on July 6, 1939.

He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and then had a 25 year career with McDonnell Douglas. He loved his family and he loved the Anaheim Angels.

Duane was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Barbara Weber; his brother, James; and his step-daughters, Susan Richards and Dianne Virginia.

Duane is survived by his loving wife, Ellyn; sisters, Mary Lounsbury and Joan Crone; his step-daughters, Michaeline Wood and Elaine Robbins; five grandchildren, Bryan, Elizabeth, Michael, Christina and Mark; and two great grandchildren, Mirayah and Ava. Other survivors include his in-laws, Stelle Songin, Edward (Jane) Michalski and Florence Michalski; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews in the Jamestown and Buffalo areas.

Funeral services will be private.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Vitas Hospice Care for their support in his final days. May the road rise up to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
