Parish, Greg

Parish, Greg 67 Year Old, passed away peacefully in his home on October 6, 2014 and is mourned and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Greg died after battling cancer for almost a year. Greg grew up in Sacramento and Graduated from CK MacClatchy High School in 1965. Greg served in the US Navy aboard the USS Hancock during the Vietnam War. In 1975 Greg received a BS in Urban Planning from Cal Poly in Pomona, had a love for Art and Architecture which permeated his work at Spink Corporation of Sacramento where he worked for for over thirty years. Greg designed many of Sacramento's signature housing and business developments. He was best known for his many artistic pencil drawings and illustrations. Greg was an avid art collector, loved Frank Lloyd Wright and collected many Greg Kondos' works. He loved boating on the delta and vacationing in Santa Cruz with his wife Sally. He is survived by his wife Sally of twenty years, his son Timothy, step-daughter Michelle Baum, his sister Pamela Belchamber, sister in law Lynn Anderson and his nephews Jeff Belchamber and Colin Vance. Visitation is Thursday 10/9 from 3-8pm at River Cities Funeral Chapel, 910 Soule Street, West Sacramento. Funeral Services will be held at 10am on Friday 10/10 at Our Lady of Grace Church, 1500 Park Blvd, West Sacramento, followed by a gathering at the Pheasant Club on Jefferson Blvd., in West Sacramento. Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery.
