Delores Joann Mesick, age 83, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, July 9, 2016. Joann joined her beloved husband of 59 years, Harold, who passed away in 2012. Joann was born in Marshall, Texas on May 25, 1934, to Edward and Lois Rose. Joann was the loving sister to Betty, Raymond and Janice. Joann is survived by her children, Victoria, Harold, Michele (Richard), Renee and James (Carmen); granddaughters Christina (Trevor), Aubrey (Samuel), Marisa and Ashley; grandsons Ryan, Matthew, John and Michael; and great grandsons Andrew, Logan, Ryder and Jackson. She is also survived by nephews Rodney, Vincent, Ronald, William and Michael, and niece Lisa. Joann loved her family and was happiest when spending time with them. Joann and Harold made many cross country trips as their children were growing up and these memories were precious to Joann, as were memories of her childhood in Marshall. She had a very strong faith and had traveled to Worcester, Massachusetts many times, beginning in 1976, to see Father Ralph DiOrio. She also enjoyed reading, cooking, miniatures, doll making, genealogy and going to the ocean. She was dearly loved by her family, who will miss her every single day for the rest of their lives. A viewing will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Miller's Funeral Home, 507 Scott Street, Folsom, CA. Services will be held at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at 1:30 p.m
