Meehan, John Joseph , 84, passed away peacefully in his home in Mission Viejo, California on Friday, April 8, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Josephine Cullen Meehan, and his brothers, Conan (James) and Thomas.

John is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth (Tina); seven children, Molly Anderson, Maureen Meehan, John Meehan, Jr., J. Patrick Meehan, Kevin Meehan, Sheila Nguyen and Brian Meehan; their spouses; 12 grandchildren; and sister, Sr. Maureen Meehan.

John was a decorated Korean War veteran (USMC) who retired from Boeing in 1994. He was a long-time parishioner at St. Killian's Parish in Mission Viejo. John was a devoted husband and father who committed his life to supporting and caring for his family.

Funeral mass will be said on Tuesday, April 12 at 12:30 at St. Killian's in Mission Viejo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the National Parkinson's Foundation.
