Patricia Ann McGrorey
Passed away peacefully at her home November 18, 2015 at the age of 79 years. Beloved wife of John McGrorey; loving mother of Paul (Joleen), Michael (Cindy), Kevin, and Eileen McGrorey. Grandmother to Alex and Nathalie McGrorey; beloved sister of Mary Ellen Balibrera and Agnes Welense, and many other relatives and friends.

Patricia graduated from St. Agnes Grammar School, Presentation High School and Holy Names College.

Patricia was a devoted wife and mother to her family. She was an avid reader and forever the family librarian with books at Christmas and suggested reading to friends and family alike. Patricia was passionate in her sewing. There was always a sewing project on hand and she made many Halloween costumes for her children and the children she cared for. Later in her retirement she became known for her adventures in hiking and exploring new places with her family and friends.

Patricia worked many years at First Interstate Bank at West Portal, a favorite bank teller to many who lived in the neighborhood. She loved babysitting for several families and was considered a part of those families. They truly loved her.

Friends may visit Tuesday, November 24th after 5:00 pm at St. Gabriel Church located at 2559 40th Avenue (at Ulloa) in San Francisco and are invited to attend the Vigil Service at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 1:00 pm with committal to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.
