Tributes for

McCormac, Carole H.

McCormac, Carole Anderson, passed away August 23, 2015 at her home in Los Alamitos of natural causes. Carole was born in Hastings, Nebraska, in 1935, graduated from Hastings Senior High School, and received her degree and teaching credential from Kearney State College in Nebraska. Her early teaching experience included work at U.S. military bases in France and Japan. She taught the majority of her career at Barker Elementary in the Garden Grove Unified School District.

Carole's love of music led her to many years singing with the Camerata Singers, of Long Beach, the Orange County Master Chorale (later the William Hall Chorale) and local church choirs at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Los Alamitos and later Los Altos United Methodist in Long Beach. She was a member and former President of the Long Beach Affiliates for the L.A Philharmonic, and supporter of the Long Beach Symphony particularly in their youth education programs. She served in many capacities for the Women's Group in the Los Altos United Methodist Church in Long Beach.

Carole leaves behind many friends who will miss the outstanding gatherings in her lovely home, but most of all we will miss the compassion, love and support she gave to others.

Carole's remains will be interred with her parents, Harold and Helen (Fish) Anderson and her brother James (Jim) Anderson in Hastings. Memorial service will be held at Los Altos United Methodist Church, 5950 E. Willow, Long Beach 90815 on Friday, September 18 at 11 a.m.
