Povich, Marvin Brent, born February 8, 1965 in Carbondale, IL and passed away April 1, 2013, in Lake San Marcos, CA. He spent his last day fishing with his friend Joe and JD, his black lab. Marv moved to Honolulu, HI with his family when he was three years old.

An avid athlete, Marv played basketball for St. Augustine School in Honolulu, the Judson Academy in Scottsdale, AZ, and Alliant International University in Scripps Ranch, CA. He graduated from UC San Diego and spent his career in the financial industry.

He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Sierra Povich (age 10); his mother, Anita Lubko Povich of Champaign, IL; his father, Michael J. Fox of Tucson, AZ; his brother, Michael J. Povich (Janine); nephew, Dylan and niece, Julia of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and fishing buddies. Memorials can be made to the Stephanie S. Povich Scholarship Fund.

A celebration of Marv's life will take place on April 26, 2013 in San Marcos, CA.
