Alameida, Louise P.
Born on December 14, 1925, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Passed away peacefully in Sacramento on March 18, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Joseph T. Alameida, Sr. and her daughter-in-law Kathleen Alameida and her grandson Peter O'Ran. survived by her loving children Joseph Alameida, Jr., Diane Figone (Bob), Debbie Haley (Bob), Susan Kaplan, Dave Alameida (Patty), Laurie Menchaca (Martin); grandchildren Kim, Kelly, Somer, Micah, TJ, Joey, Kristie, Michelle, Jamie, Mackenzie, Jared, and Emma; great-grandchildren Jonathan, Jacob, Santo, Tanner, Paityn, and Ellie; and best friends Ray and Myra Gonzales. Also preceded in death by her brother Walter, sister Marie and Survived by her sister Penny. Loved and adored by numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Louise was an active member of St. Mary's Parish in Sacramento, working for many years as a volunteer at the annual Parish Festival. She also volunteered numerous hours at St. Francis High School and Jesuit High School. in addition, Louise held part-time jobs at the McClellan Air Force Base BX, the Sacramento State Child Care Center, and worked for Bishop Alden Bell of the Diocese of Sacramento. Louise loved to cook for family and friends and was well known for several of her 'famous' dishes. But her greatest pleasure was being the #1 fan at her children's and grandchildren's sporting events and activities. Her devotion to her husband and family was what made Louise so special.

Friends are welcome for a visitation on Monday, March 25, from 1:00 to 7:00 pm at W.F. GORMLEY AND SONS, 2015 CAPITOL AVENUE, SACRAMENTO, CA. Rosary and Vigil Service will be held immediately following visitation at 7:00 pm at W.F. Gormley and Sons. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday, March 26, at 10:00 am at ST. MARYS CHURCH, 58th and 'M' Streets. Interment will be private. Remembrances may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation , 9310 Tech Center Drive, Suite 250, Sacramento, CA 95826.
