Jones, Brett Thomas. It is with great sadness we acknowledge the passing of Brett Thomas Jones, 25, on February 11, 2016 an amazing son, grandson, brother and friend. A proud Warrior, Brett attended Hiram Johnson HS, and was a star athlete in wrestling and football. Brett went on to Sac State, majoring in Criminal Justice. A member of the United States Marine Reserve, Brett completed a tour in Afghanistan and was an honor guard for numerous USMC funerals. A member of Tau Kappa Epsilon, Brett was active in his fraternity and a big brother to many. Brett began this life with two brothers by birth and left it with too many brothers to count. His impact on this world was much larger than his span of years. Brett is survived by his mother Catherine, brothers; Dustin (PFC US Army) and Marcus, grandmother, Connie Nettle, father Ron Jones, aunts, uncle, cousins, second cousins and so many friends also counted as family. Graveside services will be on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 9:30AM at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd. Dixon, CA. A Celebration of Life follows at 11:30AM at Fremont Presbyterian Church, 5770 Carlson Drive, Sacramento, CA. 95819.
