Daniels, Dale

Dale Jason Daniels, a lifelong resident of Redlands California, passed away January 16 after a three year battle with oral cancer.
A third generation Redlands native, Dale was born February 21, 1961 in Redlands, California to Alice and Donald Daniels, local citrus ranchers. Dale attended Redlands public schools and graduated from Redlands High School in 1979. As a youth he worked in the family orange groves and was active in the Redlands YMCA Circus. He was a member of the Boy Scout troop at the First Presbyterian Church.
Dale graduated from Orange Coast College and did construction work in Orange County before returning to Redlands where he farmed citrus and avocados for 30 years. He served on the board of directors of the San Bernardino County Farm Bureau. Dale vacationed on the lower Colorado river near Earp, California.
Dale's father Don passed away in 2006. Dale is survived by his long time companion Kellie Sevco, mother Alice, sister Donna, brother in-law Denis , brother Dean, and many friends and relatives.
As Dale was a lifetime lover of animals, gifts in his memory can be made to the Yucaipa Animal Placement Society or any animal shelter. A private family burial will take place Thursday January 23 at Hillside Memorial Cemetery in Redlands. A celebration of Dale's life will be held Friday, January 24 between 4 and 7 PM at Dale's home in Redlands.
