Doris R. (Grecu) Crandell was born on May 4, 1933 and passed away on June 23, 2017. Doris was a native of Farmington, MI and grew up in the Farmington-Flint area. Doris married Ellis Crandell on June 11, 1955 and moved to California in 1964. Doris first worked for Michigan Bell Co. and later worked for Pacific Bell from which she retired after 30+ years. The family then moved from Campbell CA to Elk Grove in March 1990. After retirement, Doris and Ellis traveled the United States, Canada and Alaska in their RV. After Ellis passed away in 1995, Doris became quite active in WPAC (Widowed Persons Assoc of California). Later she became Elk Grove's Chapter President and at the time of her passing was Executive Director of WPAC with over 20+ chapters from Red Bluff to San Luis Obispo and Napa to S Lake Tahoe. Doris grew up with 3 brothers and is survived by her son Gregg of Elk Grove. Memorial service will begin at 11am on July 11, 2017 at Herbergers Family Funeral Chapel at 9101 Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove CA. Reception immediately following at 9462 School St., Elk Grove CA.
