Beloved middle child of Annette and Michael Burns of San Clemente, Kelly James was a huggable, loveable, adorable 5-year-old boy who loved The Wiggles, Minions, playing baseball in the Challenger League, and wrestling with his brothers, Dustyn (9) and Jack (2). He had fun riding the bus to school, R.H. Dana Exceptional Needs Facility, where he spent his days learning, singing, and playing with friends while leaving a lasting impression on his teachers and aides. Kelly passed away after a month-long struggle with viral pneumonia. His determination and strength were an inspiration to everyone who knew him, especially his parents, brothers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He taught us about compassion, patience, and unconditional love. Kelly's sweet, yet feisty nature will always be a part of the California and Idaho family legacy; we will miss his hugs and the twinkle in his eye before his attempts at mischief. Kelly gave us the gift of joy and we will feel the effects of his love and light forever in our hearts. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 24th, at 3 PM at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in San Clemente.
