Albert, Jr., Judge, born July 22, 1927 in Marietta, OK; passed away March 20, 2015, in Fair Oaks, CA at age of 87. Beloved husband of 67 years to Mineko Albert. Greatly missed by children, Anna L. Blakeney, Edith L. Albert, Kem Gravenberg and husband Eric, Hiroko Bell and husband Robert. Forever remembered by grandchildren, Yoshi, Robert, Carmen, Jason, Jessica, Stephanie, and Vanessa. Lovingly remembered by great grandchildren, Ahlahna and Antonio. Also survived by brothers, Andy and James; sisters, Edna, Mary, Betty, Blondie; and cousins, Arnel, James and Lewis. Preceded in death by mother and father, Edith H. and Judge Albert, Sr., brothers Ira, Raymond, and Charlie Albert, and sister Verna Mae Albert. He was a highly decorated veteran of WWII receiving 13 military awards and decorations during his distinguished 30+ years of continuous military service. He was drafted in October 1945 and retired from the US Air Force in August 1976. From 1978 to 1990, he worked for Chevron Chemical Plant in Richmond, CA as a Chemical Operator. In January 1991, he and Mineko moved and settled in Folsom, CA. In retirement, he enjoyed fishing, picnics, barbecuing, and playing Pinochle. He loved spending time with family and giving back to the community. Other service oriented achievements included being a life time member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 6604 in Folsom, CA, a member of the National Air Force Security Forces Association (AFSFA), and AFSFA Sacramento Valley Chapter. He was also a Documented Original Tuskegee Airman and a member of the George S. "Spanky" Roberts Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. Services will be held at Miller Funeral Home, 507 Scott Street, Folsom, CA 95630 on Thursday, April 2, at 10:30am. Remembrances in Judge's name may be made to the George S. "Spanky" Roberts Scholarship Program, the VFW Post 6604, or the AFSFA Sacramento Valley Chapter.
